State Senator Louis W. Blessing, III

State Senator Louis W. Blessing III is currently serving his first term in the Ohio Senate, representing the 8th District which includes the Western and Northern suburbs of Hamilton county. 

Prior to his appointment to the Ohio Senate, Mr. Blessing served in the Ohio House for four terms representing the 29th District. During his tenure in the House, he was chairman of the Government, Accountability, and Oversight committee, as well as Primary and Secondary Education. For three of his four terms, Senator Blessing also served on the House Finance committee.

A lifelong Colerain Township resident, Mr. Blessing is also a licensed, professional engineer by trade. He continues to work as a research and development engineer with Super Systems, Inc. in Sycamore Township. His work is in measurement and instrumentation, circuit board analysis and design, and embedded software. He is a member of the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers.

Senator Blessing has worked hard in his time as a member of the Ohio General Assembly to make Ohio a better place to live, work, and raise a family. He has been keenly focused on education policy, as high quality schools and a well-rounded education are the keys to living the American Dream. His work on taxes, regulatory reform, and career-tech has helped create many high-paying jobs, and making Ohio attractive for prospective employers.

Senator Blessing and his wife, Heather, live in Colerain Township with their two children: Louie and Jimmy. They are members of St. Ann’s parish.
